Frequently Asked Questions
What is Daito?
Daito is a web-based two-factor authentication (2FA) manager built for businesses. It allows you to easily create, manage and share 2FA access for all of your work accounts.
Key features include shared access, SSO login via SAML, audit logs, groups, and integrations.
How do I set up Daito?
Setting up Daito only takes a few minutes. Visit Daito and sign up for a free trial. Add your first user account, then start importing external work accounts you want to protect with 2FA. Daito handles the rest.
Does Daito offer a free trial?
Daito offers a 14-day free trial that allows you to add unlimited users and manage unlimited 2FA accounts. After the trial period ends, paid subscription plans are required for ongoing access and support. Paid plans start at $15.83 per month billed annually including 3 users. The free trial is a great way to experience Daito's features before committing to a paid plan.
Can users access Daito from anywhere?

How secure is Daito?
Daito follows industry best practices for security and privacy, such as encryption in transit and encryption at rest.
Daito is hosted in the EU (in Germany) and in ISO 27001-certified data centres. We are currently in the process of getting our SOC2 or ISO27001 certifications.
Who is behind Daito Authenticator?
The Daito Authenticator is a product from Elster Intelligence, a Berlin, Germany-based software company.
Elster Intelligence was founded by Jan Sroka, a former Big 4 information security professional after experiencing first hand in his 15+ years career that 2FA tokens often need to be shared in smaller companies and that lots of companies unnecessarily open themselves to risk by not protecting all (shared or not shared) accounts with 2FA.
Jan holds numerous advanced IT security certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM) and is reachable at [email protected].
We are currently a small team of 4 based in Germany, UK and Turkey.
Does it work for mobile and web?
Yes. It will work if your device has a (reasonably modern) web browser and internet access.
